The start of “the group of death” was an eagerly anticipated
one, with Netherlands taking on Denmark. The expectations for Netherlands are
high, being one of the favourites to win the tournament.
With this expectation on their shoulders, they started with a
high tempo and great attacking flair. Robben had a chance within the first 20
minutes, having the opportunity to shoot at close range, however he opted for
the square ball which resulted in the attack being squandered.
